A few weeks ago I ordered the Laptop Desk 2.0, the Laptop legs, and the Nite key lite. I just want to tell you that I am very pleased with the Laptop desk. I use it every day and I use the laptop legs in conjunction with it and they allow for even more of a cooling effect. I have used the light several times and it is adequate but not as bright as I had hoped. It needs one or two more bulbs. All in all, I would recommend the desk 2.0 and legs to anybody, and if fact I have already done so. Thank you for good products and excellent service.

I just want to let you folks know that my Laptop Desk is absolutely the best accessory that I have ever bought for my laptop. My most recent laptop, a Toshiba Satellite that I bought last year, has 2 fans on the bottom and can really put out some heat. The slotted Laptop Desk allows me to work with my Toshiba for hours on either my lap or on the bed with no fear of burning thighs or a toasted comforter. I can say nothing but WOW!!! I ordered the LapTop Desk Ver 2.0 on Friday at 2:18 PM Central Time. A moment later I get the reply e-mail with the receipt which is nice to see, but, pretty standard from most web based stores. Next I get an e-mail from Leslie stating that my desk was in transit on FedEx and this happened at 2:46 PM (Unheard of from any other company). Next I have a nice weekend and come into the office and and get an e-mail form the receptionist downstairs saying that I have a package. I open it up and there is the desk. One important feature is its thin profile. It fits into the padded laptop section of my backpack, leaving the other main compartment free for miscellany. I'm writing to just tell you how satisfied I am with my Laptop Desk v.2.0. I recently I purchased a Gateway 600x notebook. The cooling fan was operating frequently and was quite loud and annoying. Since I've started using my Laptop Desk, my fan only operates occasionally. It's made a big difference in keeping my laptop running cooler and also, I'm sure, in the lifetime of my computer. You have a great product and I will be recommending it to all my friends and collegues.
After seeing the Laptop Desk, I would pay $39.95. It looks much better than shown in the ad. There is not much detail on the how the material looks. I'd also like to mention that the angle it creates when I rest my notebook on it makes it easier for me to work :-)

After removing the product from the packaging, both Lynnette and I were pleasantly surprised. We know that we are paying for the design, not the manufacturing. We wish we had invented it. After I studied it for a while I was really impressed with the clever design. (i.e.. the interchangeability of the parts.) After using it for a while, both Lynnette and my impressions have improved. I bought this product just before going on vacation. I take a lot of digital photographs, and frequently transferring the photographs to the laptop is a must. This process was always a "leg-burner" before, but now I can hold the laptop for long periods without that heat. The only negative thing about the product was that the bottom was not exactly comfortable on my legs when I was wearing short pants. It tended to leave deep impressions in my skin. The non-slip surface top and bottom is great! During this same trip I was able to put the desk on top of a cooler and not worry about it sliding off during turns in the road, or sudden stops. Three words describe my feelings: Impressed, Impressed, Impressed. I ordered your Laptop Desk V. 2.0 last Wednesday night, and by night I mean somewhere around 1:00 in the morning. It arrived at my house in Webster, NY on that Saturday. I spend a lot of time on my laptop in front of the TV each night and within an hour, must adjust something to keep from receiving 1st degree burns from it. Last night I fell asleep in my LazyBoy around 10:00pm. Laptop running, logged onto work, but this time I had your Laptop Desk between my machine and I. I woke up at 5:00am and if it wasn't for the fact that I saw my laptop, I would have never even known it was even there. Chances are if it wasn't for your product, I would have woke up much earlier to the smell of something burning, most likely, me.

I guess pleasantly surprised is the best response to my first impression to the LapTopDesk 2.0 I recently received from your company. At first inspection I thought what a gimmick, a flimsy piece of plastic way over priced at $30 plus, but then I started using it and now it goes everywhere my laptop goes.It's folds compactly and is easy to store anywhere. My laptop not only does not burn my legs any more, but actually runs cooler to the touch, and I assume more efficiently. I use it all the time. And I mean all the time. I have a wireless at home. We have one at work. I don't bother docking my laptop anymore as it makes me that much more mobile. I use the desk here in the office, because it elevates the screen and keyboard quite nicely and seems to make it a little more ergonomic. I cart it home, and use it from my favorite easy chair. I use it folded in half at home too. In addition to saving my lap, it, once again, provides me with some ergonomics. My boss is going to order one too. I wanted to let you know how happy I am with your product. It is definitely as good as advertised, both on ZDNet and your own advertisement. The product really does keep my laptop cooler, the fan does not turn on nearly as often and stays on a lot less time than before your product. I love the range of positions I can place my laptop when I use it as a desktop unit. I use this in a variety of places and usually use a different position at each location. When the laptop desk is used as a "laptop" desk, it keeps my computer from sliding around and the best part, my legs do not burn me after a lengthy session!
If I had any complaints it would be a minor one. I have a trackless mouse, so the desktop surface is a bit "sticky" for it. However I realize most folks still use the old, reliable regular type mouse. Perhaps a future variant of your great product could include a smooth surface for my type of mouse?
In any case Jose, you have a great product, I love it and with the construction of this unit, I know I will get many years of use out of it. As a matter of fact I am certain my laptop will wear out long before the Laptop Desk will!!

The Laptop Desk version 2.0 is amazing. I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and it handles the weight and heat dispersion of this powerhouse laptop with ease. I was especially amazed at how firmly the Laptop Desk holds my laptop in place on my desk. The new support arm is a great addition for desktop use. Prior to purchasing my laptop, I looked at the built-in incline features on some of the other units and found them lacking. But with the Laptop Desk, I now have the ergonomic desktop solution I was looking for. Not to mention that the maximum height position is definitely higher than you could get with a built-in feature from any standard laptop. To top it all off, you provided great customer service. I initially ordered online but then wanted to upgrade to your newer Laptop Desk and called you by phone. I was greeted by a sales member who quickly and graciously credited the first order and re-entered the new order without delay. That type of no nonsense customer service is hard to come by these days. Your company is definitely about customer service and customer satisfaction. I received the Laptop Desk today (Thursday) ahead of schedule. The version 2.0 Lap Desk is everything you promised! Stylish, sturdy, easily folded and stored, and comfortable to use. As you may recall I'm using a rather large footprint Toshiba Satellite 5005-S504, and it fits on the Lap Desk with absolutely no problems. The non-slide surface is a plus and securely holds the laptop while in the reclined table top mode. I think you have a real winner here, and the whole process of ordering and delivery was seamless! Thank you so much for follow up on my missing laptop desk. I just received it and it works great. I use it flat on my home desk and at work tilt it forward so I can use the keyboard easier. Your idea of putting the laptops charge transformer in-between the desk to tilt it forward work good.
I also found that my Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 used to cycle the cooling fan on and off many more time before using the laptop desk. The vent shape of the desk allows for much more air flow and I have not heard the fan com on at all.

When I'm at meetings where tables or desks aren't available - it's not a problem for me because I bring my own desk. I like to keep busy so I sometimes use it in bed to finish the day's work. Or while watching T.V. I'll put it on my lap and I don't get 'Roasted Thigh Syndrome' anymore.
Since it's easier and more comfortable to use, I'm using my laptop a lot more which has made me more productive. Everybody that sees my desk wants it. Thanks for making a great product!
PS - So far I've purchased 4 units and gave the other three to business associates. It made me a hero at Christmas time. They love their desk, and can't figure out how they survived without it! Thanks, again.

rMy computer came back yesterday afternoon from repair, earlier than we were told, and I immediately tried LapWorks out with it, folding it as you recommended. It works perfectly now! It does not slip, and it keeps me much cooler and lets my laptop get a lot of ventilation it would not get in my lap. It is really working nicely, I think I even like it better the smaller size. So thank you!!!!!

I got my lap desks today. They are wonderful! I could not believe how lightweight they are - they do fit in my carrying bag. I plan on showing the lap desk to my sister and buddies at work. Maybe get you a few more orders...

I am bedridden, and I just got a new laptop computer which gets much hotter than my old one because of how much more powerful it is. I soon found that putting it on my regular lapdesk so my lap would not get hot, it would also slip a bit if I moved. I certainly do not want to spill my computer off onto the floor! So I did an advanced search at Hotbot for the phrase "lap desk" and the single word computer and found your product. What I liked that about your product is that both surfaces would retard slipping as well as dissipate heat from the computer and from me! I like the little extra room on the sides where I can put my remote or little things as well as lift it from my lap and get a good grip on it. This looks like the perfect solution and I hope that it is! I did not see anything else on the Net like it.

Overall it is a very good product. I use mine all the time. At my desk, it keeps my laptop at the correct angle for typing. When I use it on my lap, it is secure and does a great job of keeping the heat off my legs.

You have a great product here. I wish I were CEO of a big company so I could order thousands of them. I am primarily a home user, but I do work out of my home part time as an independent contractor. My main machine is actually a desktop, but I have do have an older (heavy!) laptop and I have just upgraded to one of those super-thin laptops that may become my main machine. Sometimes I work in informal surroundings and the lap is the only available work surface. This is so nice and easy to transport. It just goes right in my laptop bag.

Love the product. Haven't tried it out with my laptop yet, but am using it for my keyboard. My computer desk is a bit high for my comfort, so I set my keyboard on my lap now. Give me some time and I'll think of all kinds of stuff to use this product for. :)

Lightweight and mobile. Can be used under most circumstances. Takes the strain off the wrists when using the keyboard. Like the ability to set the Laptop Desk at various typing angles. An excellent purchase indeed!!!

This product is great! Even though I have a very small and light Sony Vaio subnotebook computer, it still gets quite warm and the small size makes it hard to position on my laps comfortably. Because of the rubber grip on both sides, my notebook doesn't move even when I shift position. Even my picky wife loves it!

Don't know if this is the right department, but I just wanted to let you know that I received the lap tray today. Frankly, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Bought it on a whim, you know? I am so pleased. This is a great product. It looks good, it's well made and it works. It's also very reasonably priced.
