LapWorks Adds Notebook Accessories for PCs & Macs

“Stay-Put" Keyboard Light, 4 Port USB Hub Only $10 Each When Purchased Each with Laptop Desk

Rancho Cucamonga, CA---March 5, 2003---LapWorks™ Inc., producers of the Laptop Desk™ portable lap desk for notebook computer users, today announced two additional accessories that support mobile computing: the Nite-Key-Lite™ and 4 Port USB Hub. They are $19.95 purchased separately. Or, purchasing either one with a Laptop Desk brings the accessory price down to $10. Nite-Key-Lite:
LapWorks' keyboard light is an 18" serpentine light with the most rigid cable on the market. Unlike other keyboard lights, it stays put once positioned. Its connector is designed to fit tightly into any USB port, further eliminating “wiggle." The Night-Key-Lite illuminates the keyboard with two soft white LED bulbless lights which last up to 8,000 hours, and draws no more power from a notebook battery than 90 seconds per hour of laptop life. It is long enough to reach over the top or around the sides of most computer screens. No external power source is necessary.

4 Port USB Hub:
LapWorks' Hub enables one USB port to connect up to four devices. It operates with Microsoft's Open HCI or Intel's Universal HCI. No power adapter is necessary because power is drawn from upstream. The 2.5 oz. 4 Port USB Hub supports low speed (1.5 Mbps) and high speed (12 Mbps) devices, and features built-in over-current protection.

Other Accessories:
LapWorks' Optical USB Mini Scroll Mouse is 40% smaller than desktop mice, offers plug-n-play simplicity, and is accurate on most surfaces. Offered at $24.95, or only $15 when purchased with a Laptop Desk, for a total of $44.95.

Expected mid-March is LapWorks' custom-designed Mouse Pad, which will snap onto the Laptop Desk, extending its length by 3" and giving users a dedicated mouse work surface.
